NEW RBH SOUND SX SERIES SPEAKER DEBUTS AT CEDIA EXPO 2008
DENVER, CO – CEDIA EXPO – BOOTH 112 & SR-9 – SEPTEMBER 4-7, 2008 – RBH Sound, a leading manufacturer of high performance home audio products, today announced the pending introduction of their new Signature SX series of freestanding speakers. The audio video industry’s first look at this new series takes place this week at the 2008 Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) expo September 4-7, 2008 in Denver Colorado.
The SX speaker model making its debut in the RBH Sound booth 112 at the 2008 CEDIA Expo is the SX 4T tower speaker. The look of the SX 4T and the SX series is a major departure from the current look and feel of RBH Sound’s floor-standing speakers. The SX 4T features five 4-inch aluminum cone woofers and a 1-inch soft-dome tweeter. These proprietary drivers come together to give the three-way SX 4T performance tantamount to the company’s award-winning Signature Series. To prevent standing waves or cabinet vibrations, the SX 4T’s thick, internally-braced MDF construction combined with the swept-back design leaves only the purest of sonic performance to be experienced by the listener. The SX 4T’s enclosure employs a forward-facing tuned vent which helps to extend the speaker’s response into the lower 30 Hertz region for full-range support. To appease audio purists, the SX 4T features two pair of high quality five-way binding posts, allowing for bi-wiring and/or bi-amplification. At nearly 42 inches tall, the SX 4T measures just over 5 inches in width, giving the SX 4T a sexy, slender profile. The SX 4T will be available in Ebony Wood, Crotch Mahogany and Cherry, to easily coordinate with the interior decoration of any room.
The SX-4T can handle 250 Watts, has a frequency response of 31Hz-20kHz, measures 41-3/4 inches high x 8-3/8 inches wide x 13-3/4 inches deep and weighs 40 pounds each. The SX 4T has an initial suggested retail of $3,200 per pair and is expected to begin shipping later this month.
