Would you spend more time outdoors if you were able to enjoy great quality audio/video programming? Do you like to lounge in your pool/spa but are tired of dragging around a “boombox” for music? Would you like to entertain guests around the grill and patio and still keep watching the important ball game? Are there any special recreational areas (ie. basketball goal) on your property that would get more use if you could easily play your iPod? Would you like to impress your guests when they walk up to your house and hear music playing at your entry way? There are many options to consider when adding sound and video outdoors. Speakers can be hidden in landscapes, mounted in or on the wall/ceiling of your patio or even installed under water in your swimming pool!
Controlling the system: Everything we design at Audio Video Systems is engineered to be easy to use. You may only want a simple solution like a water-resistant volume control outside for a set of speakers mounted under your patio. Or you may want to be able to operate your HDTV and music selections (including iPod playlists) from a wireless remote control that is waterproof and will even float in your pool. However you choose, we will design a new system or integrate into existing equipment you may already be using.
HDTV Outdoors: Would you like to entertain family and friends with an HDTV flat panel television outside? Depending on your home and desires, we can install a flat panel television in an area that is protected from inclement weather. Another option is to design a lift system that will fold up flat in your outdoor ceiling and completely hide the television when not in use. Or you may want to step up to a “water-resistant” television specifically design to handle some moisture without hurting the electronics. Once installed, you house will be the envy of your neighbors and the place to congregate.
Speaker Choices: One thing to remember about outdoor speakers – the more you have, the less you have to turn up your system and risk annoying any neighbors.
You can choose from weather-resistant speakers that mount flush in your patio’s ceiling, on-wall speakers with brackets that allow for coverage adjustment and/or the popular “rock” speakers. “Rock” speakers are available in multiple finishes and sizes that will blend into most any landscape. Various levels of performance are available including stereo pairs, single enclosure with both left/right channels or even add additional subwoofer “rocks” for a more satisfying experience.
