With a strong backbone of Elan and RTI control, we have designed this system to grow and expand with the homeowner’s needs. We have recently added a media server system from ReQuest that allows the client to easily access a library of CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs throughout the home with the touch of a button, including around the pool and hot tub.
Energy conservation features are also built-in to this design. With the Elan g! automation foundation, the HVAC system is able to be controlled and monitored to maintain a comfortable climate at standard times but be cut back when not needed. LED lighting throughout the house helps keep energy costs down plus additional significant savings are realized with a customized Lutron lighting control system.
One of the big concerns most have when considering adding a little or a lot of electronic components to their home is how difficult it might be to operate. Will their purchase end up causing more headaches than it will help to simplify their lives? This home is a great example of how easy Audio Video Systems can make it to watch TV or see who is at the front door when the doorbell rings. Whether it is an easy to operate RF remote control from RTI or a touchscreen on the wall, every system in this home is simple to control.
